The 3D film "Transformer – The SEW-EURODRIVE industrial gear unit”, which was created for SEW-EURODRIVE by the Göppingen-based agency "madness" for the 2009 Hanover Trade Show, received another
internationally coveted award. On April 13, 2010, madness GmbH received the "intermedia-globe GOLD" award in the category
"animation" at the World Media Festival 2010. In 2009, the film has already won the "if" award for outstanding design.
The image film was created to present the industrial gear units of SEW-EURODRIVE. The film fascinates by its incredible speed
and expressiveness. As known by the toys "Transformers", cubic elements are transformed into machines and systems in which
industrial gear units are shown, such as huge cranes or bulldozers. 3D motion capture methods were used for the dynamic images
of humans. This method allows for simulating human motion very accurately but in the manner of a comic strip and results in
stunning effects with a unique and distinctive style.
