Centralized installation using PROFIsafe
The safe stop function can be activated using PROFIsafe for MOVIDRIVE® B drive inverters in accordance with EN 954-1.
Process data and safety-oriented information transfer over one single medium: Dispenses with the installation of a separate,
safety-oriented fieldbus.

The safety-oriented output can be used to bring a single MOVIDRIVE®/MOVITRAC® B or a group of MOVIDRIVE®/MOVITRAC® B units to a safe stop.
The figure shows use of the PROFIsafe installation with MOVIDRIVE
® B drive inverters with integrated switch-off and standard motors or gearmotors.
Decentralized installation using PROFIsafe
MOVIMOT® gearmotors with integrated frequency inverter can also be controlled using PROFIsafe in connection with field distributors
of types MQS../Z.8F or MQS../Z.6F.
This is the function of the safe stop. In addition, the safety-oriented MQS.. field distributor offers two additional safety-oriented
inputs for the connection of emergency stop relays.
The figure shows an installation that is comprehensively decentralized through to the control level via PROFIsafe, for use
in safety applications compliant with EN 954-1, category 3.
